O Ambassador Fall Events & Dates

Cardboard City: “Changing the World One Box at a Time”
In conjunction with Edgewood/Butler Tech FFA, the O Ambassadors will work to raise awareness and funds for poverty occurring in Butler County and South Asia. Students are being asked to seek at least $70.00 in donations to participate in this event. The money will be split 50/50 to help low income families in Trenton and to raise money to build a school in South Asia. This event is open for participation to all Edgewood students and staff.
Students and staff who choose to participate will spend the night living as though they were homeless, sleeping on the lawn of EHS. Participants will be awarded play money in which they will be required to purchase basic provisions. The inspirational event will be promoted locally, so that people can drive through while the students are here, receive statistics on poverty in Butler County and around the world, possibly use the event as a learning experience for their children (if applicable of course), and donate to the cause.
Donations from local businesses are also being sought and students can receive a donation of this kind to cover his or her $70.00 entrance donation. Businesses who participate will be eligible to receive, depending at which level they donate, their name on 2008 official “Cardboard City” t-shirt and a placard at the event. We will also make t-shirts available for staff to purchase a week or two before the big night.

EHS/Army Talent Show: Rock for Poverty!
